Propel to Excel is a consulting program designed to support current and future leaders in managing the demands of such an important role. After years of research and observation in schools, teams, corporations, and families, we've found that most people are “imbalanced” in their preparations for leadership. Highly successful individuals typically, and deservingly, earn the privilege of leading those aspiring for similar achievement in a chosen field, but sometimes their intensity of focus and personal accomplishment limit the extent to which they can understand the unique motivations, emotions, and behaviors of others.
Our program assists leaders in recognizing the strengths which contributed to their success (and resulting recognition as a leader), while adding complimentary theoretical and empirical skills of leadership. Leaders require two things in order to do their job; a goal and a following. As such, we assist in the formulation of goal setting and promotion, along with training on how to manage those who will be led towards that destination.
Presentations include unique takes on common ingredients of leadership. For example, our focus on communication is not only on what is said, but also on understanding the art of listening. Similarly, our lessons on leadership are not only focused on how to lead, but also, and perhaps more importantly, on understanding how to follow.
